How to successfully Color Block & Clash Patterns
One of my favorite things about Marisa's daily outfit posts is that she isn't afraid to wear multiple patterns and prints in the same ensemble. Not only is this a hard thing to pull off, which she always does, it's perfectly on trend for the summer. Color-blocking is still around, but this season it's made way for what I'm unoriginally dubbing

But any of these fashionable ladies (and men) will tell you that it's no easy job to successfully clash patterns without looking like a kindergartner allowed to dress themselves for the first time. That's why I'm here to help!
There is a method to the madness. Ironically, in order to effortlessly look like you don't care, you have to put a lot of thought into exactly what colors you're wearing. When it comes down to it, perfectly clashing color blocking is actually a science.
Scary isn't it? Luckily, we can use this handy-dandy color wheel whenever we decide to wear tons of prints and know that we'll look put-together every time. In order for the color wheel to do it's magic, you have to know how to use it, here's how:
1. 90 Degree Angles: Any two colors that create a right angle together are perfect to pair together. Take a look at the ensemble I put together on the right. Now take a look at the color wheel. Did I close my eyes and somehow get a miracle? Nope, Orange-yellow and green just so happen to make a pretty little 90 degree angle. Tricky isn't it?
2. Straight Diagonals: Just like the outfit on the left, any colors that make a straight line across, in this case red-orange and blue-green, are a match made in print blocking heaven.
