Floral

Steals & Deals: Cotton On Outlet Dress, $5.00//Forever 21 Floral Cardigan//Clear Heals {thrifted}, $5.00

I just wanted to mention a couple noteworthy broke girl tips that I incorporated in this look:

Use a tie belt from another garment to transform a dress.
I usually like to wear a traditional buckled belt with a dress like this, but decided to switch it up with a tie belt that goes to another dress. It is a great way to use what you already have and make it new.

Layer two (or more) necklaces to make it look like a new necklace.
I love layering these necklaces to lay one on top of another because it almost is a new necklace. And maybe you already layer your necklaces--well try something new! Always good to switch it up.

Wear something old, a new way. I originally wore this cardigan, which has a low scoop neckline and is cropped, buttoned up and paired with a tank top. However, it looks a little outdated when worn that way today. What I have done above is just tucked the top corns under. Rethink the pieces you already have clearly can be worth it.

Besides my little tips, I must mention that I am obsessed with these shoes I found. The see through effect is almost like an optical illusion that makes my legs look much longer than they usually do {a rare occasion for my short self}. I'd like to think they are my wanna be 3.1 Phillip Lim shoes or one of these designer pairs {here}. They have a touch of elegance that I just adore.

Also, who loves the kelly green and navy color combo!? ME! Especially in {these} J Crew pants. To die for!

Chloe + Isabel Jewelry: Baguette Flower Pendant

Lately I have felt so uninspired and somewhat in a funk. I have been telling myself that I have nothing to wear {which mind you is ridiculous}. So I decided to dig through my closet and pull out items that have become neglected. I feel like everyone kind of goes through this, "oh my gosh, I have nothing to wear" phase then just resorts to shopping. A bad habit, right? Well take a closer look at what you already have and I am sure you'll pull out a gem. Today, I found this cute tunic. It's been in my closet for some time, but I didn't know what to pair it with considering it's awkward length {too long for a shirt and too short for a dress}. And finally, I came up with this little ensemble and decided to layer it with a light colored skirt. It has that resort feel. I kind of just want to take a little drive and head over to the Napa Valley to go wine tasting--it kind of sounds perfect right about now. Hmm.

Hope everyone is having a lovely week! The weekend is almost here, maybe it's time for a spontaneous little resort vacation of your own!? xo

Last night I had the pleasure of going to an amazing Beatles tribute show at our resort {wearing this little number}. The band, Britian's Finest, sounded identical to the original Beatles. If you are a Beatles fan at all, you would have been in heaven. I definitely was! As for today, we visited Balboa Park, which has a variety of museums with great exhibits indoors and beautiful views and architecture outdoors. Couldn't have been a great last couple days.

As for my outfit, I went with a mint-on-mint look. Which almost looks like a maxi dress from far away. I absolutely love how elegant the colors look and how much taller that I look {with assistance of my wedges}. With that said, if you are petite and you do not own a maxi dress or skirt, get on it. I made this maxi, and I definitely plan on making a couple more. I mean who isn't into looking nice and being extremely comfortable!?

Hope everyone is enjoying their week! xo

I am officially vacationing in warm San Diego with my family this week. I am so excited to just relax, soak up some sun and enjoy spending time with my family. I wore this {almost head to toe Target look} to brunch this morning. Nothing is more comfortable than an all knit look with wedge heals. Considering this season focuses on color, I must admit that neon pink and navy is one of my favorite combos {among many others}.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! What is your favorite color combo!?

In a lot of the Fall 2012 runway collections I saw multiple looks in white head to toe {most likely inspired by previous Calvin Klein Collections}. I don't know if I am daring enough to wear all white {maybe in the future I will gain some courage} but as of now my white look is paired with black leggings. Really happy with the way it came out. Plus, I am obsessed with my new funky cateye sunglasses {for only $8!} and purchased on eBay. That place is awesome. I received free shipping and the package came within a few days. Definitely need to shop that website more often!

Happy Memorial Day! Hope everyone has been able to enjoy their nice long weekend. xo
