I found the above pants at a thrift store for $5.00 and thought that the print was amazing so I purchased them figuring I would alter them to become skinny jeans. However, after taking them home I loved the baggy look {although they were too baggy} and then determined that they could become boyfriend jeans, after adjusting the fit. Basically the transformation of the pants, from the first images to the last, just involved bringing in the sides {which was quite simple}.
1. Turn the pants inside out and put them on and pin to desired fit.
2. Take a pencil and follow along pins.
3. Remove pins and sew along penciled line.
4. Turn the pants back to the right side.
The end result and my final look kind of made me feel like Jenna Lyons--hence the first images from {here} & {here}. I definitely took a risk with these pants, but I am so happy with the end result. Sometimes you just have to have fun with what you wear. They also transitioned perfectly into the night as I switched to strappy high heals, removed my glasses and added my white leather jacket.
Hope you enjoy this little refashion and of course the rest of your weekend! xo
