When I visited New York this last week, there were a few trends that I noticed that really stood out. Mainly due to their popularity amongst many New Yorkers. Therefore, I felt like it was more than necessary to share them with you all. Plus I added some affordable pieces in the mix {heck yes, we all can be on trend!}.

Camouflage
I spotted camouflage everywhere, and by everyone! Young, old, men, women were all wearing this trend. It was most often seen as a jacket, but some also were pants and various other kinds of garments and accessories. It is a really fun trend that pairs well with a more soft, feminine pieces.
Pants: Gap, $59.95 //Knit Jacket: Zara, $59.90 //Outerwear Jacket: Zara, $99.90 //Flats: Old Navy, $24.94

Striped Blouse: Forever 21, $14.80//Blazer: H&M, $49.95//Leather Skirt: H&M, $29.95//Ballet Flats: Ruche, $34.99
Burgundy, Bordeaux, Merlot, etc.
Burgundy, Bordeaux, Merlot or whatever you would like to call was definitely the color of the season. What is so great about this color is that it easily matches with so many other colors and can really be replaced with traditional neutrals such as black, browns, and creams.

Leather
Leather {or faux leather} was every where and on everything from leather skirts and pants to trims on blouses and jackets. And was worn in a wide range of colors. Incorporating some leather within your wardrobe this fall can easily freshen up your look and add a fun unexpected touch.
Leggings: Charlotte Russe, $14.99//Blouse: ASOS, $33.42 //Pleated Skirt: Cotton On, $49.95//Letterman Jacket: Forever 21, $24.90

The burgundy trend for sure! Such a lovely color for fall. The leather trend is growing on me though. Love it. :)

This is such a good post and I totally agree with you about the trends you saw in NYC, Atlantic Pacific always has some of my faves. I have that Zara camo jacket but I need to add a bit more leather and burgundy, I really like the pieces you featured here, especially the peplum leather top

These latest trends are pretty fab. Though I'm not too sure about the camo but that's probably because I'm surrounded by it day in and day out (sigh the life of an army wife). I'm loving your pics and loving your new layout!
