I don't know what it is about this outfit, but I totally love it. Maybe it's the hint of 70's style with a modern twist? And btw, {excluding my shoes which were somewhat of a splurge, for me} this outfit is relatively inexpensive. Top + Skirt + Sunnies = about $25.00. Here are some tips for finding the right style at the right price:

1) Research trends, sihouettes, colors before shopping. What are people often wearing? Knowing what is in style is the key to finding cute things in unexpected places.

2) Check the sale section, your local thrift store or good will, first. This may take time, patience and creativity--but remember that you have to search to find something good. Also, when thrifting concentrate on style not the size. The size estimated might be totally off or might look good on, you never know.

3) Shop often. Shopping does not mean spending. The more often you shop, the more of an opportunity you have to find a gem at an incredible price. This takes control, believe me. But I have faith that you have it in you to not spend all your money. And if you don't trust yourself, shop with someone you know that will help you stay in budget.
